In these ever-changing and challenging times, it’s important to take a few minutes each day to re-energise your mind and body. The GCCEC team has collated a few simple tips to help build wellness into your next visit to the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. 

Footprints TIME FOR A WALK

Fun fact: walking sideways burns more calories than walking forward! If you have a spare 10-15 minutes, make sure to take a stroll waterside around GCCEC’s scenic boardwalk and parklands. The view will have you feeling refreshed and recharged both mentally and physically. The walk will increase productivity, satisfaction, motivation AND you’ll clock up around 1200 steps!

Eating healthy GOOD FOOD GOOD MOOD

Originating from Hawaii, Poke bowls were originally made with Hawaiian reef fish and have since been made with substitutes (like salmon and tuna) internationally to suite a range of palettes. Mental health TAKE 10 TO ZEN

We use our brains all of the time, so don’t forget to treat it once in a while. When you need a moment to refocus take some time to enjoy a little meditation on our Northern Lawn on the water’s edge. Alternatively, you can take a stroll along the bridge that connects the Centre to The Star Gold Coast and breathe in some fresh air while you take in views of the Broadbeach skyline. A few minutes of deep breathing can help reduce anxiety, enhance awareness and promote emotional health.


The sun-filled foyers can be transformed into an indoor circuit and keep you moving on the job. The foyers extend right across the full length of the Centre so there is plenty of room to pace and get your steps going while answering emails or making a call. Enjoy the comfort of the air-conditioned indoors while you exercise!
