The CICM 2024 ASM theme this year is Back to the Future; are we still attending to what really matters in an era of technological advancement?
We will travel back to the past to think about the things we have done and reflect on just how and why this has led to the practice of today. As we move into the future, an era of robotics, clinical information systems, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and databases, are we concentrated on the important aspects of Intensive Care? Or is it a case of all the gear and no idea?
