My name is Belinda Crofts and I'm an Event Manager here at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. My role is to find out what the client's goals are, gather all the necessary information, and then communicate that throughout the team for the operational departments in the building to execute.

We're the department that connects the client's needs with the operational departments in the building. Through our intensive planning stage, we can confidently arrange all departments to ensure the event runs smoothly.

The best part of my job is the variety in our culture. One day you could be working on a meeting for 12 guests, the next you're planning for a public concert for 5,000. It doesn't matter what the job is, we all work together to get it done. The most satisfying part of my job seeing all of the hard work come together to create a world-class event that the client truly loves.
