GCCEC Razzle Dazzles PCOs

The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) recently hosted a familiarisation for a group of NSW conference and event organisers who got to experience a sensory journey that left them excited about the magic of the Gold Coast.

Guests enjoyed a relaxing two days in the glorious sunshine that the Coast is famous for including plenty of exhilarating actives specifically chosen to highlight the theme of ‘Razzle and Dazzle’ which started off with an unforgettable scenic ride on the back of a Harley-Davidson.

Upon arrival at Gold Coast Airport, guests got a taste of what it was like embrace their wild side as they literally headed out on the highway for a memorable adventure. Handed helmets and leather jackets, the joy ride on the back of an impressive machine affectionately referred to as ‘hog’ took in breathtaking views of the coastline and Burleigh Beach.

Famil guests received V.I.P treatment taking in a personalised tour of the convention centre before taking part in Tapas Masterclass hosted by GCCEC’s Executive Chef, Garry Kindred and Chef de Partie, Todd Hyde.

Guests thoroughly relished creating a selection cold entrées including a sand crab avocado tower with Roma tomatoes and apple brioche before sitting down to a well deserved lunch complete with champagne from GCCEC’s award-winning kitchen. In the evening, the group got a bird’s eye view of the 1950s tribute stage show spectacular “Shake Rattle ‘n’ Roll”. True to form, this highly enthusiastic group took to the dance floor; all dressed the part in their neck scarf’s, white t-shirts and jeans.

On the final day guests briefly toured nearby Broadbeach accommodation properties Sofitel, Meriton and Peppers before dipping their toes into the surf and sand for fun and games on the beach. Throughout the day, PCOs were treated to local culinary gems and popular hot spots that are dotted within walking distance of the Centre.

The event allowed guests to experience why the award-winning GCCEC and the Gold Coast remain a perfect destination for mixing business and leisure.
