GCCEC was recently featured in Spice Magazine, a special events publication focusing on all things Meetings, Events, Incentives and Exhibitions (MICE) which delivers event case studies, profiles of industry stars and special reports on sectors within the industry.
GCCEC’s delivery of an “epic Australian Tourism Exchange” was in the spotlight with the emphasis on the sheer logistical and operational challenges associated with the flavoursome undertaking of serving up in excess of 24,000 meals over the four-day event!
Entrusted with selling Australia and indeed the Gold Coast via a gastronomic and sensory journey, GCCEC Executive Chef, Garry Kindred and Sous Chef, Adam Hall methodically crafted a tailored Asian inspired menu complemented by a well-balanced hot and cold buffet and the theatrics of live cooking stations with unique inclusions including Aussie sandwich ice-creams.
Fresh produce and ingredients included more than 1.3 tonnes of protein and 500kg of seafood which were sustainably sourced within 200km radius of the Centre.
