Food Donation Top 1200 KG

The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) has donated a massive 1250kg of food to leading food rescue organisation Ozharvest from January to September this year.

That equates to the collective weight of 14 newborn elephants.

In fact, since the inception of our partnership on 1 July 2014, GCCEC has donated an impressive 4875kg of unused food that would have otherwise gone to waste, to Gold Coast families in need.

Every kilogram of donated food provides three meals, meaning the 4875kg donation has produced 14,625 portions in the form of cooked meals, salads, sandwiches, bread, desserts and drinks.
