AusPet 2018 is the premier public pet expo, trade show & conference.

AusPet 2018 is the premier public pet expo for lovers of pets of any kind and is part of the prestigious annual conference and trade show for the Australian Pet and Aquatics Industry with major partner Blackhawk.

With an extensive array of entertainment, celebrity appearances, education and information sessions and exhibitors spread over a massive 6,000m2, there’ll be something for everyone.

The expo is not exclusive to traditional pets like dogs and cats. Visitors will be able to look at, touch, hold, pat and cuddle a diverse array of pets including fish, reptiles, guinea pigs, goats and more.  There’ll even be opportunities over the weekend to adopt a new family member!

AusPet 2018 will be a jam-packed weekend of grooming competitions and workshops, reptile introductions, pet first aid classes and you can even learn how to set up the perfect fish tank.

There’ll also be dog agility, police dogs, snake and reptile shows, face painting, jumping castle, pony rides, a petting zoo and more.

AusPet 2018 is also very proud to have Channel Nine’s Shelley Craft onboard as the expo ambassador who will be making appearances throughout the weekend.

All the activities at the event are complimentary with your entry tickets. 

AusPet 2018 House Rules

  • ONE pet per adult.
  • Owners to remain in efficient control of their own pet.
  • All attending pets must be in good health.
  • Only well-behaved, non-aggressive pets should attend.
  • Dogs must be on a fixed lead or a locked retractable lead (2 metres max) at all times.
  • Secure all tiny/toy dogs appropriately for this event.
  • Cats must be in an enclosed carrier.
  • All exotic pets such as reptiles, birds and insects must be secured appropriately.
  • Always ask the owner’s permission to pet an animal.
  • Attending cats & dogs must be vaccinated.
  • Take note of the pet-potty locations.
  • Pick up your pets’ droppings and dispose of appropriately.
  • Ensure pets are well hydrated. Water stations are available.
  • Muzzles must be worn where legally required.
  • No choker chains will be permitted at AusPet.
  • Follow instructions given by event staff.

I have conducted two major formal dinners at GCCEC for approx 700 people each time, the more recent of these being held in March 2015. I am completely satisfied with all aspects of working with GCCEC and their performance in presenting our function. They were completely professional and were willing to do things exactly the way I wanted them done, even meeting some unusual requirements. When I requested to make layout changes only hours before the dinner the request was accommodated immediately and with professional ease. The dinner was an alternate drop three course full service meal with drinks package, and it was without a doubt the best formal dinner I have ever attended. I have managed many similar dinners in the past but this dinner achieved by far the best result, it was the easiest to organise and to then manage on the night. Our GCCEC functions manager was a competent and willing professional who achieved an absolutely flawless event. I am still trying to understand how the catering staff were able to prepare almost 700 perfectly cooked and presented meals and get them to the tables whilst still hot.
