Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre saddles up for Spring Racing at the 1029 Hot Tomato Centre of Melbourne Cup
The Spring Racing Carnival has arrived and the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) is saddling up for one of the biggest Melbourne Cup events on the Gold Coast.
The 1029 Hot Tomato Centre of Melbourne Cup is bringing all the glamour, excitement and fashion of the field to GCCEC and will be hosted by 1029 Hot Tomato’s Holmsey and Flan.
Guests are in store for a lavish four course luncheon straight from the Centre’s award winning kitchen, live entertainment, race sweeps supporting BMD Northcliffe Surf Life Saving Club, the Gold Coast’s biggest screen to watch the race, and of course the fashions of the field.
Fashion lovers should look forward to a spring fashion parade by Pacific Fair showcasing the latest race wear and awarding best dressed prizes on the day.
Pacific Fair stylist Susie McWatt-Forbes said that this year minimal, one statement pieces will be popular on the field, along with floaty materials and fascinators to add elegance and grace to race wear.
“The fashion of Melbourne Cup is all about complementing the fun and vibrant atmosphere on the day, and our fashion parade will showcase the latest unique and colourful spring pieces on the runway,” she said.
Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre’s General Manager Adrienne Readings said the Centre is looking forward to another successful Centre of Melbourne Cup, a complete package for guests wanting to experience all the festivities of the Spring Racing Carnival.
